Currently working on building a metascheduler for the GrADS framework.
The metascheduler will try to provide a balance between providing minimum
completion time for the individual jobs and maintaining fairness for
all the jobs. The work also involves developing performance models for
numerical libraries and research in checkpointing and migrating techniques.
Also working on developing strategies for coscheduling computations
and storage in the NetSolve Grid computing system.
Worked on developing tuned MPI collective communication software. The
software automatically detects the optimum parameters for MPI collective
communications for a given system and used the optimum parameters for
the users' MPI program. The work involved developing different collective
communication algorithms and evolving models for collective communications.
Worked on a research called Static Assignment of Multithreaded Systems
(SAMS) at Clemson University. The work involved developing compiler
techniques for analyzing a parallel program and determining the optimum
number of threads for a given program.
